Vision
To establish a Maritime Centre of Excellence, to be recognized nationally and internationally as the Emirates Maritime Hub, to deliver world-class teaching, research, and training to students, researchers, and professionals worldwide, for life-long learning.

أن نكون مركزا وطنيا للتميز في التعليم والتدريب البحري على المستوى المحلي والدولي لتقديم التعليم والتدريب والبحث وفق أفضل المعايير الدولية بهدف تحقيق التعلم مدى الحياة للطلبة والباحثين والمهنيين من جميع أنحاء العالم.
Mission
To provide a flexible, multi-level, modular, and nurturing learning environment to facilitate and instil zest for knowledge and continuous professional development for our students, graduates, and maritime professionals.
الرسالة
توفير بيئة تعليمية مرنة ومتعددة المستويات لغرس الشغف للمعرفة والتطور المهني المستمر للطلبة والخريجين والمهنيين.
Goals
1. Introduce and develop educational programs of the highest standards in the field of maritime science and technology to achieve institutional excellence.
2. Support and develop the maritime transport sector in the United Arab Emirates and prepare qualified cadres in various maritime fields in line with contemporary scientific developments and professional practices.
3. Support maritime scholarly and research activities and instill a culture of innovation and competitiveness in the field of maritime science and technology.
4. Establish scientific links and connections and foster exchange of expertise and technical and cultural information with local and international entities.
الأهداف
1. طرح برامج تعليمية في العلوم و التكنولوجيا و النقل البحري و تطويرها بما يحقق التميزالمؤسسي.
2. دعم وتطوير قطاع النقل البحري بالدولة و إعداد الكوادر الوطنية المؤهلة للعمل به في مختلف المجالات وفقاً لأحدث النظم العلمية و العملية.
3. دعم النشاط العلمي و البحثي و تعزيز ثقافة الابتكار و التنافسية في مجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا و النقل البحري.
4. توثيق الصلات و الروابط العلمية و تبادل الخبرات والمعلومات الفنية و الثقافية مع المؤسسات المحلية و الدولية.
Objectives
1. Establish policies, strategies, and plans to develop educational and training programs and scientific research in the fields of science, technology, and maritime transport.
2. Develop and offer educational, training, and vocational programs in line with the requirements of the regulatory bodies and relevant stakeholders.
3. Offer vocational training programs in the field of maritime science and technology.
4. Produce scientific research and initiatives in science, technology, and maritime transport in partnership with specialized national and international institutions.
5. Organize and participate in exhibitions, conferences, and scientific and cultural activities related to science, technology, and maritime transport.
6. Establish strategic partnerships and cooperation agreements with local and international educational institutes and relevant organizations in the fields of science, technology, and maritime transport.
7. Promote SMA to be a scientific, cultural, national, Arab, and international hub for science, technology, and maritime transport.
8. Prepare and qualify academic cadres in the field of science, technology, and maritime transport.
9. Develop a solid infrastructure for supporting research, education, training, and community awareness in accordance with best national and international practices.
10. Any additional objectives decreed by the Board of Trustees.
الاختصاصات
1. وضع السياسات و الاستراتيجيات و الخطط اللازمة لإدخال البرامج التعليمية و التدريبية و البحث العلمي في ميادين العلوم و التكنولوجيا و النقل البحري.
2. طرح و تطوير البرامج التعليمية و التدريبية و المهنية و اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات اللازمة للحصول على الموافقات المطلوبة و الاعتماد الأكاديمي من الجهات المعنية.
3. تقديم برامج التدريب المهني في مجال العلوم و التكنولوجيا و النقل البحري.
4. إعداد الأبحاث العلمية و المشاريع المتخصصة بالعلوم و التكنولوجيا و النقل البحري ذات الجودة بالشراكة مع المؤسسات الوطنية و الدولية المتخصصة.
5. التنظيم والمشاركة في المعارض و المؤتمرات و الأنشطة العلمية و الثقافية المتعلقة بالعلوم والتكنولوجيا و النقل البحري.
6. إقامة شراكات استراتيجية و إبرام اتفاقيات تعاون مع الأكاديميات المحلية و الدولية و الجامعات و المنظمات و المعاهد في مجالات العلوم و التكنولوجيا و النقل البحري بناءً على اعتماد المجلس.
7. الترويج للأكاديمية لتكون مركزاً علمياً و ثقافياً و وطنياً وعربياً و دولياً للعلوم و التكنولوجيا و النقل البحري.
8. إعداد وتأهيل الكوادر الأكاديمية في مجال العلوم و التكنولوجيا و النقل البحري.
9. تطوير البنية التحتية اللازمة للأبحاث و التعليم و التدريب و التوعية المجتمعية بما يتفق مع أفضل الممارسات و المعايير الدولية المعتمدة.
10. أي اختصاصات أخرى تكلف بها الأكاديمية من الحاكم.
