Dr. Ferdoush Saleheen has over 20 years of combined experience in industry and academia, specializingin Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Business Transformation across multinationalcorporations, national conglomerates, and leading academic institutions in Asiaand the Middle East.

He has spent over a decade in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Logistics, in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Electronics, Retail, and Agribusiness sectors. He has held senior management roles, overseeing large-scale operations and leading complex, end-to-end SCM transformations for multinational and local conglomerates in Asia. He was the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Partex Star Group (Danish), Akij Food and Beverage Limited, and Head of Supply Chain at LG Butterfly Bangladesh.

He has been in academia and research since 2014, including his time as a Ph.D. scholar at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM),Malaysia. He has taught MBA and Executive MBA courses in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at leading universities in Bangladesh, such as BRAC University and the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, as an adjunct AssistantProfessor. Additionally, he has served as a guest speaker for the MBA class at the University of Hull, UK (online).

He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management specializing in Supply Chain Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia, an AACSB-accredited institution ranked among the top 554 universities globally by QS in 2025. Additionally, he earned an MS in Logistics from the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington, USA, and an MBA from Victoria University, Australia.

Before joining Sharjah Maritime Academy in March 2025, since August 2022, Dr. Ferdoush has been teaching full-time at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), the UAE’s largest federal government academic institution with AACSB accreditation, where he taught Logistics and Supply Chain Management to undergraduate Emirati students in Fujairah. At HCT, he served as a System-Wide Team Leader (SCTL) as well as an Academic Program Chair for the Logistics and Supply Chain Operations program, where he contributed to developing the program and designing an industry-driven, competency-based curriculum.

His expertise extends to teaching, industry-based curriculum development, corporate training for senior leadership programs, high-quality research, and industry networking. He has conducted more than 200corporate training courses and produced over 34 publications: 3 book chapters,19 journal papers, and 12 conference proceedings from renowned publishers including Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), API Publisher Press, Nova Scientific Publishers USA, and IGI Global Publishers, etc.

He serves on the editorial boards of the InternationalJournal of Supply Chain Management (IJSCM), UK, and the International Supply Chain Technology Journal (ISCTJ), USA. Since 2022, he has been a Chartered Fellow Member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT International), UK.

Currently, he serves as a series co-editor for the new book series on “Sustainable Industry-Focused Supply Chain Management,” along with U.S.-based researchers and academics. The new book series will be published by the Taylor & Francis Group, CRC Press, Boca Raton, FL, USA.

Professor Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, a Visiting Scientist at The University of Texas at Arlington, USA, is the editor of the book series. Dr. Ferdoush completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Dr. Md. Mamun Habib.
