Dr. Saad S. Alrwashdeh is currently an Associate Professor at Sharjah Maritime Academy. He brings a wealth of experience in the field of energy and mechanical engineering, with an academic journey that spans several prestigious institutions. Dr. Alrwashdeh has served as an Associate Professor of Energy at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Mutah University in Al-Karak, Jordan, since 2021. Prior to this, he was an Assistant Professor in the same department from 2017 to 2021. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin) and Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB), which he completed in an impressive two and a half years. He also holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mutah University, completed in just one year, and a bachelor’s degree from the same institution. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Alrwashdeh has held several administrative positions at Mutah University, including Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Training, Innovation, and Communication with Industry, as well as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. His teaching portfolio covers a wide range of subjects at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, renewable energy systems, and oil and gas production technology. Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Alrwashdeh gained valuable industrial experience as an Operation and Control Engineer with the Korean Southern Power Co. (KOSPO) in Al-Karak, Jordan. His extensive background in both industry and academia makes him a distinguished expert in his field.
