Summary:
This course provides training for Masters, chief engineer officers, chief mates, second engineer officers and any person with immediate responsibility for loading, unloading, care in transit, handling of cargo, tank management, or other cargo related operations on liquefied gas tankers. It is about advanced handling of liquefied gas cargoes.

STCW Competencies:

  • Ability to safely perform and monitor all cargo operations
  • Familiarity with physical and chemical properties of liquefied gas cargoes

Entry Criteria:

This course is open to any person with immediate responsibility for loading, unloading, care in transit, handling of cargo, tank cleaning or other cargo related operations on liquefied gas tankers. It comprises of seafarers who have qualified in accordance with Regulation V/1-2 para 4 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers, as amended.
