Summary:
This is a practical course, consisting of a series of exercises structured around the operation of the cargo and ballast systems of a Chemical Tanker and carried out using a liquid cargo handling simulator (LCHS). Simulator-based cargo planning, ballast operations and emergency management.

2. Chemical tanker systems and equipment
3. Pump theory and characteristics, including types of cargo pumps and their safeoperation
4. Loading, unloading, care and handling of chemical cargo
5. Effect of bulk liquid cargoes
6. Safety Data Sheet (SDS) of variety of chemicals
7. Proficiency in the use of the IBC and IGC Codes
