Overview

This course covers the requirements of the STCW Convention and Code. On meeting the minimum standard of competence for familiarization and awareness of ship security, as well as protective duties set out in Ship Security Plan (SSP).

This course aims to provide knowledge, understanding and proficiency corresponding to the minimum standards of competence required for familiarization and awareness of ship security, as well as protective duties set out in Ship Security Plan (SSP), as defined in Section A-VI/6, paragraphs 1 to 4 and 6 to 8, and detailed in Tables A-VI/6-1 and A-VI/6-2 of the STCW Code.
