Based on IALA Model Course C0103-2 on Vessel Traffic Services Supervisor Training.
The course is based on modules, dealing with specific subject representing a requirement or function of a VTS Supervisor. The course makes use of simulated exercises and direct observation assessment intended to be representative of events and incidents likely to be experienced in a VTS centre.
Course duration: 10 Days, subject to competence on Nautical Knowledge
Course Intake: Maximum 8
Assessment: Practical, Written and Direct Observation
Entry Criteria:
Must satisfy the requirements of the Competent Harbour Authority / VTS authority.
Hold VTS Operator Certificate and completed Logbook.
Approved service as VTS Operator (at least12 months continuous service without interruption).
Completion of all required additional and On-The-Job training.
